MedPaks are adherence packaging (aka compliance packaging) that organizes your prescription medications into individual pouches. Each pouch is labeled with the day, date, time and list of medications to be taken. It is simple and convenient to keep track of your medication with the MedPaks system.

Your routine maintenance prescription medications can be packaged in MedPaks. In addition, MedPaks can accommodate over-the-counter (OTC) medications, nutraceuticals, supplements or probiotics that your pharmacist may recommend - like vitamin B12 with metformin or coenzyme Q10 with a statin. Our pharmacy team will discuss your medications with you and determine what will be packaged. We cannot package the following medications: soluble medications, “as needed” medications, and certain antibiotics.

Absolutely! We may also recommend adding a multi-vitamin or other supplement to complement that one prescription medication.

You can pick up your MedPaks at the pharmacy or have them delivered to you by pharmacy driver or mail.

On initial enrollment you will receive a dispenser box that will hold your roll of MedPaks. Each month you will receive a new roll of medications in a new dispenser box and label with picture, name, time, and quantity of each medication - we recommend taking the latest label with you to any doctor appointments, we find they appreciate the extra detail of knowing what and when you take each medication. Each month your roll will come with “header” pouches that list each medication, dose, and monthly quantity. You can tear those pouches off and keep for quick reference (great wallet size) or dispose of them.

Yes, shipping is included in the monthly MedPaks + delivery option or a small fee will be added at time of mailing if it’s a one time need.

Your new prescription will be filled with only enough medication to get to your next MedPak date, and then will be packaged with the rest of your medications in MedPaks each month going forward. We confirm this in the monthly check-in call or text, asking if it is working and if you are experiencing any unwanted side effects.

Yes, this is where we make that magic happen! We will work with your insurance provider and physician to get all your prescriptions on the same schedule. We will contact you and coordinate the first date for your MedPaks. Your medications may need to be synchronized in bottles until that coordinated date. Following the initial period, your prescriptions will be filled in MedPaks.

Each MedPaks packet is labeled with the medication day, date and time to be taken to improve convenience and reduce confusion and the risk of medication errors. Tear off the packet for the correct date and time and take the medications in the packet. Going out for lunch? Tear off the noon dose and pocket it for later. Leaving for the weekend or a couple weeks? Only take what you need - it’s TSA compliant! We do recommend taking an extra day or two in case your return is delayed.

We typically provide 28 days of medication in order to reduce and eliminate waste due to any changes that may occur. Check with your pharmacist to see if the pharmacy offers other options.

As with most medications, it may depend on how long it has been since you should have taken your dose. You should contact your pharmacist if you have any questions.

As with all medications they should be stored out of reach of children. MedPaks are not child-safe packaging. Do not store the box in hot or humid conditions (ie. bathroom medicine cabinet - that’s a misnomer!). Keep in a dry spot and out of direct sunlight. Note: The pharmacist keeps hers toward the back of her kitchen counter by the coffee pot. It also serves as a ‘tiny habit

reminder to take medication first thing in the morning and right before bed while setting up the coffee pot for the next morning - those noon time doses are still a hard one to remember!
